Committed to advocating for our nation's veterans, Justin Demming founded the Perry Thomas Demming Foundation (PTDF) with his brother in honor of their father, who served as captain in the United States Air Force.
A registered nonprofit organization, PTDF relies on generous donors to fund its programs and services. The foundation exists to offer veterans with disabilities the opportunity to spend time outdoors engaged in activities they enjoy, such as fishing. Volunteers also make these events possible by giving generously of their time.
Veterans who have participated in PTDF's fishing events express their appreciation for the opportunity to have a relaxing afternoon that helps them forget about their pain and problems. Many veterans with disabilities spend their time just sitting at home, otherwise. The foundation gives them an excuse to come together with fellow veterans and remember they are not alone. Those heading these events enjoy seeing the veterans smile and laugh.
